Student Worship Leader

Job Expectations:

• Recruit and lead the worship band 

• Select songs to be learned for worship

• Learn new music/perfect known music that will be used in Wednesday Night Worship

• Schedule musicians for the weekly service

• Lead a weekly band practice (outside of Wednesday Evenings). The current plan is Tuesdays, but that can change

• Lead a monthly “jam session” to recruit new band members

• Lead worship band on Wednesday evenings

• Lead pre-worship practice on Wednesday evenings and the worship walkthrough

• Attend Worship Planning Meetings with the knowledge of the current band’s repertoire

• Optional: lead worship at retreats

• Will report to Campus Pastor/Executive Director Travis Burdett

• Work with Travis to plan worship and create plans that go along with the theological themes of the night. 

Requirements:

• Skilled in leading worship with a strong vocal ability; the capability to lead with guitar and/or keyboard

• Has the ability to develop positive relationships and create a team 

• General understanding of, or motivation to learn, the technology used by the worship team, including: Canva, Planning Center, and the Wesley worship center equipment

• Roughly 10 Hours/Week

• $15/Hour
